Philosophy

Teaching is an opportunity to encourage and motivate students throughout their educational life. My goal to become a teacher is to improve students learning in an enjoyable and thrilling experience. I want students to feel like school is an exciting and exhilarating place to be. To become an ideal teacher I will continue to gain more knowledge and will be a life-long learner. I will participate in organizations, workshops, and clubs to show all of you parents that I am a life-long learner and I am motivated to become an exceptional teacher. I want students to feel challenged on their own level. I do not want my teaching to be extremely easy or tremendously difficult. Each student is unique and not everyone is on the same level; I want to be able to meet each student’s needs and standards. I will keep my classroom clean and organized, because I feel that children can work better with a clean environment. As a teacher, I want to go beyond the standards of the schools curriculum.
Being a life-long learner means gaining knowledge throughout one’s whole life. It is never too late or too soon to learn something new. Life-long learning is attitudinal; that one can and should be open to new ideas, decisions, skills or behaviors. I will listen to ideas that my co-workers have, and will fit it in with my teaching.  Life-long learning does not only mean going to school the rest of your life and receiving high education. You can learn new things everyday if you interpret what people say at work, in meetings, with friends, participating in activities, my students or  reading. Life-long learning is more than just education and training beyond formal schooling. It encompasses learning throughout the life cycle. Life-long learning is a form of pedagogy frequently accomplished through different types of courses. Learning throughout your life has become so important for many different reasons. It keeps teachers informed with new ideas and curriculum, and it also refreshes their memory with information they don’t teach daily. Learning is actually very pleasurable and I enjoy being updated with life. I learn something new everyday and a lot of it comes from my students.
My goal when becoming a teacher is to make learning interesting, so it will motivate my students to be life-long learners. I will make my classroom challenging, but at the same time enjoyable. I know that each student is on a different level, but I am willing to create different levels of work for students to be on their own level.  What I mean by that is, some students are more advanced than others, and others are more behind than average. I will enhance each child’s learning in a way that is suitable for him/her.
Having a clean environment for the children, helps them keep their area clean. Being organized is important because it helps children realize that being messy is not acceptable. I will keep my classroom organized by picking up everyday after school and putting assignments back in place. I also think that having posters hung up in the classroom keeps the environment happy and cheerful. I will be sure to hang up posters about team work and working together. I will also hang up work that the children have worked on throughout the month. It will make them feel as if it is their classroom as well, and make them feel like their work is extremely important. It will make them feel more confident about their work, and they will want to work harder because they know it is going up on the walls. Being organized as a teacher will hopefully help them as a student to keep their work all together and organized.
When I become a teacher I will work to encourage student responsibility for learning and working their hardest. I will expect my students to learn outside of school, not only about what we have learned in class, but about anything they hear or see that is new information. Homework will be given out to my students to keep their minds on information from class in order for them to practice what they have learned. Homework is a good way to keep the children involved in school work out of school. It keeps them on track and the information is always going through their mind. I will make myself available certain times of the day for those who need my help or who have questions. I am looking forward to helping students with their struggles.
Teaching is a privilege and one has to work hard for a position. It is important that teachers recognize the authority in their profession, and work on assignments to give the children the knowledge they need. I will have new assignments everyday and scan pages in the guide. I will have everything ready for class each morning. Teaching is a huge responsibility and one has to love the profession. I have always loved children and I know I will be a dedicated teacher. All teachers should have a passion for teaching, because students know when teachers want to be there and teach. Teachers should be organized and ready to teach everyday. I know I will succeed in what I do because I am a hard and dedicated worker. I have a passion for children and want to be able to work with them everyday. Teaching is an advantage in many different ways. It lets us meet new people and create a relationship with students. It also shows us how much we have improved their life. I am the type of person who likes to do things my own way, and teaching will allow me to manage my own classroom the way I want. I am very excited to pursue in my career.
